MMS - A Medical Supply Company

MMS - A Medical Supply Company was founded in 1970 under the name of Midwest Medical Supply Company, Inc. and focused on providing products and services to the acute care market. The company goal of becoming the most customer driven healthcare provider is as important today, as it was over thirty years ago.

In 1996, the current owners purchased the company and continued operating under the Midwest Medical Supply Company, LLC name with locations in Missouri, Kansas and Guam. MMS worked to broaden the market share with the addition of sales and distribution coverage in the Houston, Texas region in 2001. With the acquisition of the Perigon Group, consisting of six locations, in the year 2002 the Midwest umbrella expanded and began operating under the name of MMS, A Medical Supply Company. In 2003 Harris Hospital Supply out of the Chicago area was added. And, the most recent addition for MMS came in 2004 with a new distribution center in Louisiana.

MMS continues to provide medical supplies to acute care, long term care, pharmacies, physicians, home health care agencies and the US government. Acquisitions, over recent years, have allowed MMS to expand into the hospice/dialysis markets as well as a retail catalog segment of the business. In 2003, MMS added divisions to service customers in the industrial market as well as providing a redistribution service for major suppliers. The growth of MMS came through expanded markets and divisions that are serviced through our regional distribution centers.

MMS prides itself in being a "Regional Distributor with a National Presence" allowing us to provide dedication and commitment to our customers along with a broad array of products. MMS has a nationwide team of sales professionals as well as distribution centers located in eleven major market areas to provide excellent supply chain management.

With all of the growth and change that MMS has experienced, there are many constants that keep us grounded, the most important being the MMS mission of pledging to conduct ourselves with honesty and integrity and to dedicate ourselves to our customers, our suppliers and to one another.
